It's a.....

So we finally had our gender ultrasound today!!! It took two hours. I don't know about you other Mamma's out there, but I find having my uterus prodded for the ultrasounds hurts. So I was pretty much dying at the end of it. Ben felt sorry for me... or just wanted to stop my whining ha ha and bought me a portobello  mushroom burger and rosemary fries from Smash Burger. I love that place. I am pretty sure that this is one of the first times I have had red meat this entire pregnancy. The baby isn't a fan I guess because I still had a hard time getting most of the burger down. Sigh. Anyways, due to Isabelle's disabilities, we got to have a level two ultrasound. The only difference I can tell between the two is that this one was a lot longer and did more 4D pictures. The baby was being quite difficult and did not want to budge from laying on it's stomach, but it did give us multiple clear shots of it's identifying parts. Just as was predicted at my 12 week "angle of the dangle" test, it's a ......

Breakfast With Giraffes

Today Belle and I along with my mother were able to spend the day at the zoo! We started the day off with breakfast and crafts, followed by  a private feeding of special biscuits to the giraffes. It was such a great experience. Belle would clap her hands everytime they took a biscuit out of her hand with their long sticky tounges. We went with the Arizona school for the blind, which Isabelle gets her vision therapy through. This was the first activity we have attended and we cant wait for more. All the parents were really nice, and it was a good experience to be around other parents who understand what it's like to have a child with special needs. After the giraffes we split up and got tickets for some of the different activities around the zoo. First we took Belle on the carousel. It was still really early so she got the whole thing to herself! Then we took a train tour of the zoo. Belle liked it so much she fell asleep!! Then we spent the next three hours walking around the zoo and looking at all of the animals. We finished up with the string ray exhibit, where you can go in and touch them as they swim around. Belle didn't really care for that, maybe in a couple years she will be more into it. How did all of you spend your Fridays?!

Getting ready to go in!!
Such a happy girl!

She doesn't like to look at the camera ha ha

As you can see by my expression, I was obviously pretty excited to feed the giraffes.

Belle... not so much.

Grandma!

Carousel time!!

Burnham Beginnings

Hello Bloggie world!!! I am so excited to finally start a blog, though I'm not all that sure  what to do so please bare with me while I learn. As I said in my about me I am Wife to my Husband Benjamin who works full time and has recently started beekeeping. We are so excited for fresh honey!!! I am mother to my 16 month old daughter Isabelle who we think is the greatest little girl in the world. She has special needs. At this time the only diagnoses we have is delayed myelination and cortical visual impairment. She is sitting up great and does a sort of roll crawl to get where she wants and is now starting to try and stand. All she wants these days is to have us help her stand up and down and walk all day long its pretty cute. I am also 16 weeks pregnant with our second baby, we find out what were having in a couple weeks I can't wait!!! I hope you enjoy this blog and if you have any question feel free to ask!!
